SONG FILE

Hughes was the fifth cast member to be featured in a Hagaren Song File, and his was released on July 20, 2005. The CD has four tracks, and came with a super-spiffy sticker of the cover art, sans text, if you got the first pressing. The retail price is ¥1100 (¥1155 with tax).

Of course, Fujiwara Keiji does the vocals, though Elicia's seiyuu (Yoshida Mayuri) joins in for a duet. All the lyrics are by Natsumi Tadano, and the music is by Hiroyuki Kohzu.

I'm not a professional translator, and my friends who actually are would smack me for claiming to be one, but I tried to get the gist of what the song was about more so than a direct word for word translation. So if you think it should be different let's agree to disagree!

TRACKLIST and LYRICS:
1. そして今日も世界は (Soshite Kyou mo Sekai wa / And today the world is)
    JAPANESE / ROMANJI
2. ANGEL HEART
    JAPANESE / ROMANJI / ENGLISH
3. パパと遊ぼう (Papa to Asobou / Let's play together)
    JAPANESE / ROMANJI / ENGLISH
4. そして今日も世界は (Instrumental)

The title track is a twangy little rock song, Angel Heart is a slow ballad, and Papa to Asobou (Hughes' duet with his daughter) is just too adorable for words. And I'm horrible at music reviews. Ahh just listen to it for yourselves!

If you want to buy yourself a copy and have a listen, and aren't in an area where stores carry such things, I'd recommend CD Japan. Other places that carry the CD are HMV Japan and Amazon.com.

As well, Hughes' songs from the single have now been released as part of the Hagaren Song File - Best Collection, which has more bang for your buck. Though as I don't own it (and probably never will), I can't really comment further...
